My working life was spent working as a General Practitioner in Lancashire and Hertfordshire. My husband and I retired to Keswick in 1999. Our children, John and Fiona now grown up, love to visit us here. From my study window I have amazing views of Derwentwater and I love to watch the light changing on the mountains.
I have attended the Mungrisdale writers since 2000. In my medical years I wrote the occasional article. However since I joined the Mungrisdale Writers I have been able to develop my creative side.
I am also a member of the Cumbria Literary group and the Society of Medical Writers. Last year I won prizes in writing competitions in both these groups. I have recently published a short story in the back pages of the Journal of the Royal College of Medical Practitioners.
I love Mungrisdale and the Mungrisdale writers where I have gained inspiration and confidence. |
